Apollo Beach Tile Floor Cleaning

Wednesday, February 9th, 2011

While cleaning tile floors in Apollo Beach, Florida, I encountered dirty, discolored and missing grout.

In order for us to clean the tile floors and restore the grout we followed these important cleaning steps.

  • Dry vacuumed the entire floor
  • Pretreatment of heavy duty alkaline tile cleaner
  • Agitated the tile and grout with an aggressive brush
  • Rinsed and extracted the floor with hot pressurized steam cleaning solution
  • Treated the grout with acidic grout cleaning solution
  • Agitated grout lines
  • Rinsed and extracted tile and grout with PH balancing solution
  • Detailed edges and corners
  • Speed dried floor

Our final step was to do a post inspection with the client and the end result was a clean and shiny floor.

Grout cleaning Tampa: Removing sealer haze

Monday, January 24th, 2011

Sealer haze: Natural stone and grout surfaces can only hold a certain amount of sealer.

If excess sealer is left on the surface and it dries it could cause a smooth, silky white haze.

Sealer haze on the surface of tile and stone surfaces will wear off during normal foot traffic. Sealer haze on grout lines can be cleaned using a towel soaked with fresh sealer. This will dissolve the excess and can be wiped away.

In extreme conditions using a high ph tile and grout cleaner and a rotary scrubber can speed up the process of removal.

New Cleaner Removes Deep “Set In” Stains

Insufficiently sealed and very porous stones can easily have their appearance adversely affected by spilled oil based materials, as well as by spilled colored beverages and Food

Spinergy StainAbsorb for Stone is an activated absorbent system that is easy-to-use and highly effective. When this product is properly utilized, it can pull out deep, set in stains without discoloring stone.

Spinergy StainAbsorb for Stone can eliminate water-born stains such as coffee, soda, tea, wine, juices etc.  For oil-born stains such as salad dressing, cooking oil, animal fat, etc., the poultice action is even more important.

StainAbsorb for Stone can be used on natural stone such as marble, granite, limestone, travertine, slate and sandstone.  It also works on grout for ceramic & porcelain tile, as well as masonry and concrete. Carpet Cleaning: How to Select a Professional Carpet Cleaning Firm

Carpet Cleaning: How to Select a Professional Carpet Cleaning Firm

If your carpet still looks dirty and dingy after vacuuming then it may be time to have your carpets professionally deep cleaned. Hiring a cleaning firm can be difficult and costly if you don’t know what questions to ask.

When it’s time to hire a carpet cleaning company, asking these questions will help you choose a professional, experienced and reputable company.

  1. How long has your company been in business? This speaks volumes about a company’s experience and reputation.
  2. How long has the technician you plan on sending to my house been with the company? This will also tell you about the experience of the technician
  3. What kind of training or certifications do you provide your cleaning crews before they are allowed to enter customer’s homes? Most reputable companies will require their technicians to obtain certifications.
  4. Do you vacuum the carpet before you clean? Most soil in carpet is insoluble which means water or solvents can’t break them down. The best way to remove this type of soiling is by dry vacuuming
  5. Do you Pre- spray the carpet before you clean? This helps break down the high traffic areas and spots before they clean the carpets.
  6. Does your cleaning process include spotting for any stubborn stains? If this is not included they may charge additional fees for this service.
  7. How long will it take my carpets to dry? This is important because most professional cleaning should only take 6- 8 hours to dry.

By asking these important questions you will be able to tell what kind of experience and reputation the company has and what type of cleaning you can expect. If the company employs these steps in the cleaning process you can expect to have a very clean carpet without any surprises.

Tile and Grout Cleaning

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

Cleaning tile and grout can be a back breaking job and very time consuming. National Cleaning Specialists recommends a very simple but effective process to clean your floors. Our unique process that we developed and use is described in this article below.

The first step in cleaning a tile floor is to remove the sand and grit. This is best done using a vacuum with Hepa Filtration. Once the grit and sand is removed you then can pre treat the areas with an alkaline pre-spray. This will help break down and suspend the soils for rinsing.

Using an agitation device to scrub the grout lines and tile will achieve better results. Always make sure that you use the hottest water possible when cleaning.

The fourth step is to rinse and extract the soil and cleaning solution from the surface. Using a tool with a vacuum and high pressure to clean the surface will do the best job. You may also use a mop with clean water as well but the results will take longer. Make sure the water is changed regularly.

The final step is to dry the floor. I recommend using a high speed blower to help dry the areas before use.

National Cleaning Specialists cleans Tile Floors for only $29.95 per area up to 100 Sq. Ft.
